I had a great time teaching a group of STEM sixth graders! We learned how to create a video using a green screen. We had a lot of fun! We want student produced and reported announcements at the beginning of each school day. This would include not only the regular morning announcements but also producing short videos about happenings in the school. In order to meet this goal, we need dedicated and dependable students who can and will report to the TV studio promptly each day.
The positions that will need to be filled and their descriptions are as follows: Production Staff (1) Producer - Determines which stories are to be aired and when. In charge of production and on-camera talent (1) Director - In charge of the technical crew and how the broadcast airs. (4) Talent - Report news, events and announcements on camera daily, also help write scripts. Technical Crew (1) Video Controller (V1) - Controls video board and final video mix. (1) Sound Controller (A1) - Controls sound board and final audio mix. (1) Audio Technician (A2) - Sets up microphones, wires, etc. (1) Computer Graphics Controller (V2) - Produces and controls computer-generated graphics information. (1) Teleprompt Technician (V3) – Coordinates, prepares & controls teleprompter content. (3) Camera Operators (V4) - Position and control cameras in the studio. We are looking to start a book club here at Creekland Middle School. We will read books, genres, or selections together. We will sit around and talk about books we love and books we didn't love so much. We can create book talks and videos. I hope to start a book podcast. Sometimes we may sit around and read. Or read and eat. Or talk about books and eat.
If this is something that interests you, please fill out the survey below. Today's STEM activities were awesome! Be sure to ask your 7th grade student about it! |
